How Lexmark is responding to a change in Microsoft Windows print policies: Windows Protected Print Mode (WPP)
Microsoft is changing how Windows communicates with printers. This is an important and consequential change for our customers. As a result of Microsoft’s change to print mode, ALL print vendors — including Lexmark — must develop solutions to enable full functionality of their printers when they are used with Windows operating systems. This change doesn’t go into full effect until 2027.
